Footwear & sporting goods / SCOPED TEN-DAY ASSESSMENT

Footwear Factory & Supplier Performance Assessment

Improve product margin, seasonal delivery and factory productivity by connecting customer expectations, suppliers and production.

Start with a scoping conversation. Deliverables, timing and fees are agreed before you commit.

When this assessment helps

  • Overtime grows while seasonal orders remain late
  • Returns repeat despite products passing inspection
  • Automation proposals lack a clear operating case

Ten business days. A practical operating plan.

The schedule is agreed around one defined site or program, available evidence and access to the team. Additional sites or a wider program are scoped separately.

Days 1–3 / Understand

Establish the baseline

Observe relevant cutting, stitching, sole preparation, assembly and finishing work. Compare production losses with customer expectations and supplier controls.

Days 4–7 / Prioritize

Focus on the highest-value work

Identify constraints, repeated defects and material risks. Evaluate standard work, line balance and targeted automation against the product and process requirements.

Days 8–10 / Align

Agree the action plan

Agree supplier and factory actions, quality standards, a first-90-day plan and a focused pilot with operator training and management review.

A sample of what you receive

Your action plan connects each priority to a baseline, an agreed target, an owner and a review date. This example shows the structure; measures and targets are established from your operation.

The assessment also provides a prioritized opportunity map, first-90-day action plan, integration or investment priorities and the evidence needed to judge progress.

What your team brings

Product specifications and approved samples, order and material plans, production output, labor hours, rework, supplier performance, customer returns and available wear-test findings.

We agree access to the sponsor, relevant department leaders and the work being assessed. Available data is enough to start a scoping discussion; evidence gaps become part of the review.

Who delivers the work

TTWCI leads the operating assessment, priorities and management approach. Client leaders provide access and own operating decisions. Where specialist installation or integration is needed, the delivery team and responsibilities are confirmed in the written scope.

From assessment to implementation

Agree the engagement

TTWCI reviews your enquiry, discusses the situation and confirms a written scope, schedule, responsibilities and fee.

Implement & coach

Follow-on support is scoped separately: on-site problem solving, process changes, targeted pilots, supervisor coaching and team training.

Review & sustain

Quarterly reviews and continued coaching can verify adoption, resolve barriers and prepare successful changes for other sites.
